Covid-19 and social distancing at
Brighton 7s Festival 2021

Attending festivals and outdoor events has changed forever

We are working hard with our partners and supply chains to follow Government, local Council, and RFU guidelines, as we build up to and prepare for the full, socially distanced return of sporting events
We will be following all national and local guidance on the phased return of outdoor sport and recreation as set out by the Guidance and regulation concerning Working safely during coronavirus (COVID-19)
As part of Brighton 7s Festival updates, we will provide further information on the steps being implemented to minimise the risk of COVID-19, including any modifications being made to the venue and event space.

This will include and is not limited to the following, and is subject to change in line with Government and local Council guidelines:
  • We expect all attendees and staff to agree to a new code of behaviour, whereby each person takes full responsibility for themselves and others by not attending if they have any symptoms or have potentially been exposed to someone with COVID-19.
  • Anyone attending an event will also be advised to consider if they are putting themselves at higher risk because of their general state of health or any other risk factors.
  • Carefully controlled bookings will be in place, so that social distancing is observed in seating arrangements, alongside a minimising of the numbers of tickets sold to a predefined safe capacity, in accordance with regulator guidance.
  • Spectators will be supported to avoid public transport, including through festival-only shutttle busses from key locations.
  • A transport management plan with local and national providers is being designed to be in place to increase service frequency, where needed.
  • A crowd management plan will be in place, incorporating the controlled entry and exit of spectators (including staggering entry times), and one-way systems inside the venue to maintain social distancing and minimise the risk of crowding.
  • Additional hygiene facilities, such as hand washing and sanitiser stations, will be provided in line with national and local guidelines.
Please see the Terms and conditions page for how a cancellation or postponement may affect you and your ticket
